 | Ask your child verbal & written questions about the books they
are reading or the information they are studying |
| Add a written test occasionally to you curriculum even if it
doesn't require it |
| Don't forget to include "general" information in your
curriculum (Trivial Pursuit or Brain Quest) |
| If your child has a weak subject area spend a little more time on
it or get outside tutoring or
assistance. Sometimes they just need it explained another
way. If you child constantly doesn't seem to "get"
what you're teaching consider having a learning style inventory
done to see if they process information in a different style. |
| Use other resources to reinforce what you are learning (ie. Brain
Quest flashcards, videos, electronic educational toys like the Leap
Pad) |
